GIVING TUESDAY
Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past eleven years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. Following Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday signifies the beginning of the holiday giving season. Although generosity is encouraged every day of the year, Giving Tuesday is November 28, 2023.
You can support the residents of Snyder Village this Giving Tuesday by making a gift to the Resident In Need Fund.
RESIDENT IN NEED FUND
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Snyder Village is committed to providing for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of others in a loving, dignified, and Christian atmosphere.
While keeping the focus on a high standard of resident care, Snyder Village established the unique “Resident In Need Fund”. This Fund allows Snyder Village to continue caring for those who have exhausted their personal resources and can no longer pay for the cost of their continuing care. Medicaid only covers roughly 73% of the actual daily cost of care for a Health Center resident who has exhausted their personal funds. This leaves $85 per day unfunded for each resident relying on Medicaid. The unfunded difference falls to Snyder Village to cover.

Caterpillar Employees & Retirees: For 2023, the Caterpillar Foundation will provide a 1:1 match through their Matching Gifts Program for Giving Tuesday gifts. This applies to gifts from employees and U.S. retirees. Gifts of $25 and up qualify for this Giving Tuesday Match up to the Caterpillar Foundation’s matching limit.
