Snyder Village is located in the beautiful town of Metamora, Illinois. Our vibrant and charming community offers a rich history. Abraham Lincoln practiced law in our historic courthouse. The 2012 movie “Lincoln” mentions Metamora and references the Melissa Goings case. The State of Illinois Courthouse Museum, Lincoln statue in the central park, Lincoln-Douglas debate site, Adlai Stevenson Home, and Lee Cabin provide a delightful weekend experience.  Weekend concerts at the historic town square bandstand and the Old Settlers Days festival are summer favorites.
